Demonstration launch of a stratospheric probe with a controllable glider

In a recent demonstration flight our team, together with partners, carried out the launch of a stratospheric probe equipped with a controllable glider. After reaching the target altitude the glider performed an autonomous flight and delivered the payload to a pre‑defined area. This test verified the navigation system and the return mechanism under real conditions.
The work was conducted within the program focused on short‑duration high‑altitude flights, atmospheric monitoring and meteorological data collection. Engineers designed the probe envelope and the control system (CS), while aerodynamic specialists tuned the glider for precise maneuvering. Partners supplied telemetry equipment and supported ground control.
The results confirm the feasibility of delivery and recovery technologies in stratospheric environments. Further tests will include longer flights and a variety of payload types. We expect the experience to be applied in atmospheric monitoring projects and scientific research missions.
