Second Phase of Electronics Testing in Vacuum Chamber

In the second phase of electronics testing in a vacuum chamber, our specialists conducted a series of tests that simulated various levels of air rarefaction typical for stratospheric flights. The testing proceeded in several sequential stages, each matching the conditions of a specific altitude. As a result we obtained data on the performance of electronic components under changing thermal regimes.

Analysis of the first cycle showed that reduced pressure makes natural cooling less effective and component temperatures rise more quickly. Based on these findings we refined the enclosure of the electronic module: the new version provides more efficient heat removal and enables a more accurate assessment of equipment behavior under conditions close to real operation.

During the second cycle our team monitored the operation of the electronic components, recorded sensor readings, measured heating and cooling rates, and evaluated system stability across different modes. The gradual change in air rarefaction allowed us to emulate flights from a few kilometres up to the upper limit of 20–25 km.

The results will be used to further optimize the design and prepare the equipment for operation at altitudes up to 20–25 km. Systematic ground‑based validation of such solutions confirms functionality, reveals potential constraints, and improves the reliability of future stratospheric platforms.
