Air‑Gas System Tests for NOVA‑2 Airship

Our specialists finished a test cycle of the air‑gas system (AGS) and its control unit on a specially built test rig. The system is intended for the NOVA‑2 airship with a volume of 2000 m³. Tests were conducted in controlled conditions to verify correct operation of the components before installation on the envelope. During the cycle we examined the coordinated operation of the AGS actuators and control algorithms, as well as the stability of command transmission in conditions approximating real flight. The results confirm that the equipment is ready for the next stage – integration into the full‑scale aircraft.

In the course of the tests the engineers executed control commands, measured the system’s response to changes in the set parameters, and recorded actuator feedback. When necessary, adjustments were made to the control unit settings, which optimized the AGS before its installation on the airship. This approach enables early detection and correction of deviations, increasing the reliability of subsequent operation.

The envelope of the NOVA‑2 airship is now completed, and work on the structures and onboard systems continues. The planned phased assembly will transfer the bench‑tested systems onto the full‑size envelope. The next step is the integration of the verified elements into the airship, paving the way for further flight tests and preparation for operational use.
