Flight Tests of NOVA-01 Airship Continue

We are continuing flight tests of the unmanned airship NOVA-01. In the current phase, the main task is to automate flights using the autopilot. Our team is tuning autopilot parameters and evaluating them in real time during test flights. We are conducting a series of flights of varying duration to collect representative data on the control system performance in different modes.

To improve control accuracy, we are actively expanding the data set obtained from sensors and telemetry. The collected records include speed, altitude, position, and autopilot response parameters. Based on these data, our experts develop and adjust control algorithms, aiming to reduce deviations from the planned trajectories. This work is carried out in close collaboration with the control systems engineers and data‑processing specialists.

In the near future we plan additional tests with updated versions of the autopilot. The improved algorithms are expected to achieve more stable course and altitude holding, which is critical for the airship’s use in long‑duration missions. We will analyze the results of each flight to gradually increase the system’s reliability.
